A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Adjuster to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable claims professional with strong communication, organizational, and data-entry skills who understands the Mississippi workers’ compensation system.
Position Responsibilities
Manage and administer workers’ compensation claims from inception through resolution.
Review claims information, documentation, and supporting records for accuracy and completeness.
Communicate professionally with injured employees, employers, medical providers, attorneys, and other parties involved in the claims process.
Maintain accurate and timely claim records and documentation.
Enter and update claim information in industry-standard claims management systems.
Monitor claims activity and follow established procedures, policies, and applicable regulations.
Investigate claims and gather information necessary to make appropriate claims decisions.
Prepare correspondence, reports, and other claims-related documentation.
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
Provide excellent customer service while effectively managing multiple claims and priorities.
Required Qualifications
Current and continuously active Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Adjuster License or Property & Casualty (P&C) License.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent data-entry and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster.
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with industry-standard claims management software.
Knowledge of Mississippi workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and claims procedures.
