A custom metal fabrication shop in the Rankin County area is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Tech. The ideal candidate will have the experience listed below in this job description.
Pay: $16.00 - $30.00/hour, depending on experience
Duties are, but not limited to;
- Help develop and implement low-cost, high-quality processing and assembly solutions for new and existing applications
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and create resolutions
- Participate in new product launches
- Create manufacturing drawings for the plant (Use Inventor and AutoCAD)
- Develop jigs/fixtures to help manufacturing personnel
- Programming turret punches and lasers
- Document SOP for processes around the plant
- Update and maintain plant CAD layout
Qualifications/Experience
- 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing equipment and applications
- Technical skills: proficient in 2D/3D CAD, ability to read manufacturing drawings, mechanical aptitude, excel (a must)
- CNC programming/knowledge (desired)
- Critical thinking skills/Problem solver (a must)
- Knowledge of MRP system (desired)
- Work in a fast-paced environment/change direction quickly
- Attention to detail: crucial for ensuring quality control and following technical documentation. (a must)
- Manage multiple projects
- Teamwork: collaborating with engineers, quality team, production team, customers. (a must)
