Position Summary
Immediate need for an experienced Paralegal to join a busy Transactions practice group. This role supports attorneys handling commercial real estate closings, title insurance, and post-closing matters. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to step into a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal ramp-up time.

Key Responsibilities
Order, review, and analyze title commitments, title reports, and surveys
Draft title objection letters and assist with resolving title issues
Communicate with clients, lenders, realtors, surveyors, appraisers, taxing authorities, title companies, attorneys, and other transaction parties
Schedule and coordinate closings and review closing packages
Prepare closing documents including settlement statements, affidavits, payoff letters, tax documents, representation letters, closing binders, and disbursement sheets
Participate in closings and ensure compliance with lender instructions
Handle funding, disbursement of proceeds, and recording of legal documents (deeds, easements, deeds of trust, UCCs, etc.)
Request and process title updates; issue title policies and endorsements
Conduct occasional land records research
Track transactions for annual 1099-S reporting and complete required documentation
Draft real estate documents such as deeds, easements, partial releases, and cancellation documents
Open and maintain client files in the firm’s intake system
Assist with trust account tracking and coordination with office management
Support title insurance reporting and file maintenance processes

Qualifications
5–10 years of real estate experience in a law firm or title abstract company
Strong experience with real estate closings and title work
Ability to manage multiple transactions in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
Strong professionalism and client-facing skills

College degree
Land use experience
Corporate paralegal experience
Notary Public
