Role Description
The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring a constant supply of materials, parts, and components to designated work areas. This position supports timely movement of materials between departments, safely operates forklifts and other material handling equipment, and assists with loading and unloading materials. The role requires following work orders and instructions while properly strapping, bracing, and padding materials to prevent damage during transit.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, lift and stoop
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs continously
• Ability to ensure a constant supply of materials, parts, and components to work areas
• Ability to move materials and/or parts between departments in a timely manner
• Experience safely operating forklifts and other material movement equipment preferred
• Ability to read and follow work orders and written instructions
• Experience loading and unloading materials
• Knowledge of proper strapping, bracing, and padding techniques to prevent damage during transit
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
