Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional looking to grow your career in the legal field? Our customer is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team and provide essential support to attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing, updating, and revising pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, notices, and subpoenas.
Schedule client appointments and manage attorney calendars.
Answer and return phone calls as needed.
Maintain organized and up-to-date files (both paper and electronic).
Manage daily workflow, including scheduling meetings, processing expense reimbursements, and filing court documents.
Maintain emails and documents within the Document Management System (DMS).
Communicate with legal and support departments as needed.
Prepare, submit, and maintain attorney time records.
Open new client and matter files, coordinating conflicts checks.
Assist with monthly client billing coordination.
Qualifications & Skills:
2-3 years of legal experience preferred but not required.
Strong initiative, judgment, and time management skills.
Professional and composed demeanor.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, including strong spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF editing software, and PowerPoint.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
Ability to follow instructions, proofread documents, and ensure accuracy.
