9:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday


Role Description

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for implementing and overseeing the human resource functions and employee benefits. This role provides support to the President/CEO in achieving the commission's goals and objectives, as well as maintaining accurate employee records and documentation for the public employees retirement system. The coordinator also manages employee forms and enrollment for various benefits and programs, develops and implements administrative systems, compiles materials for board meetings, and takes minutes for both board and staff meetings. Additionally, this position assists in coordinating staff meetings, retreats, and evaluations as directed by the President/CEO. The coordinator contributes to a positive workplace environment by demonstrating superior customer service skills and maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field with 3 years of experience, or associate degree with 4 years of experience

  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Proficient in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to industry specific organization software

  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills

  • Knowledge of procurement and purchasing, and benefit administration is a plus

  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on accurate filing systems

  • Proficient in operating general office machines (computer, typewriter, fax, copiers, telephones, etc.)

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Familiarity with laws impacting personnel files and benefit reporting
