A leading beverage distribution company is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Warehouse / Yard Jockey to join its warehouse team in Brandon, Mississippi. This position plays an important role in maintaining an organized warehouse, supporting daily operations, and ensuring products and materials are handled safely and efficiently. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity, and all candidates will interview with the client prior to placement.
Pay
$15.00 per hour

Role Description
The General Warehouse / Yard Jockey is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment while supporting daily warehouse operations. Duties include moving trailers throughout the yard using a yard mule tractor, handling returned and damaged products, cleaning warehouse and dock areas, organizing pallets, repackaging merchandise, recycling cardboard, stripping trucks of freight and dunnage, accurately picking special orders, and operating handheld scanners and electric pallet jacks. The position requires working safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment and following all company safety procedures. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Qualifications
Ability to operate electronic ordering and inventory tracking devices.
Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks and rider jacks.
Experience operating a yard mule tractor is preferred or the ability to learn.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continuously and up to 60 pounds intermittently.
Ability to push or pull carts weighing up to 260 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in hot and cold warehouse and dock environments that are not temperature controlled.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Dependable work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
