Job Summary:
The Database Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the chamber of commerce's database systems. This role ensures that the database is secure, efficient, and reliable, providing accurate and timely data to support the chamber's operations and member services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and data analysis, with a focus on supporting the needs of a chamber of commerce.

Key Responsibilities:
Database Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the chamber's database systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
Perform regular maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance.
Implement and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
Generate and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports to support chamber activities, including membership statistics, event participation, financial data, and other key performance indicators.
Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities to improve chamber services and member engagement.

Member Support:
Assist members with issues related to their accounts, including updating contact information, renewing memberships, and registering for events.
Provide technical support and training to chamber staff on database and CRM systems.
Work closely with the membership team to ensure accurate member data in the database.

Data Security and Compliance:
Ensure all database activities comply with relevant data protection laws and chamber policies.
Implement security measures to protect sensitive member information from unauthorized access or breaches.
Conduct regular audits of the database to identify and address any potential vulnerabilities.

Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other departments to ensure the database supports the chamber’s overall goals and objectives.
Collaborate with the IT team on technical issues related to the database or CRM system.
Communicate database and CRM system updates, changes, and best practices to staff and members.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience:
2-4 years of experience in database management, preferably within a membership-based organization or chamber of commerce.
Experience with CRM systems, data analysis, and reporting tools.
Familiarity with SQL, database design, and data security best practices.

Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency in database management software (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and CRM systems.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
