Custodial Worker

Company Description:
A large and established church is seeking a dependable Custodial Worker to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout its buildings and facilities. The organization provides a community-focused workplace where cleanliness, attention to detail, reliability, and service are essential to supporting church activities, staff, members, and guests.

Pay:
$12.00 per hour

Role Description:
The Custodial Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all church buildings and facilities. Duties include routine cleaning such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, washing floors, windows, and walls; maintaining and dispensing cleaning supplies; inspecting facilities; reporting damage and maintenance needs; and assisting with the setup and breakdown of tables and chairs. The position may also assist the Food Service Director as needed and is expected to maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Housekeeper and Facilities Manager.

Hours:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least one year of prior custodial experience preferred, particularly in a church or similar setting
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and safety procedures
• Familiarity with custodial equipment and proper operating procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean and safe facilities
• Dependable and punctual with regular attendance
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Willingness to assist with facility setup, breakdown, and other duties as needed
• Ability to work respectfully and professionally in a church environment
