CAD Drafter / CNC Programmer
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking a CAD Drafter/CNC Programmer to join its Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with AutoCAD experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, quality-focused manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically minded, and able to work independently while supporting engineering projects from design through production. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
Assist the Engineering team with drafting and programming to ensure designs meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor.
Develop and modify CNC programs as needed.
Interpret complex parts, assemblies, and bills of material.
Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions with minimal supervision.
Ensure accuracy, quality, and cost-effectiveness in all drafting and programming work.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to support manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year of experience using AutoCAD or another 2D/3D modeling software
Experience with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Inventor
Experience in mechanical or sheet metal drafting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Associate degree or vocational training in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Experience with MRP systems in a manufacturing environment
One year of manufacturing experience
CNC programming experience
