Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper/Accountant to join a great office team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounts receivable and payable, QuickBooks, account reconciliation, and budgeting, with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate accounting practices.

This position requires a professional who can manage day-to-day accounting functions, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to the company’s overall financial health and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations

  • Prepare and maintain financial reports and budgets

  • Track and report on company expenses, revenue, and other financial data

  • Process payroll entries and related journal entries (if applicable)

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies

  • Utilize QuickBooks for daily accounting functions and financial tracking

  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and tax filings

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting

  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting standards

  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
