Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper/Accountant to join a great office team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounts receivable and payable, QuickBooks, account reconciliation, and budgeting, with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate accounting practices.
This position requires a professional who can manage day-to-day accounting functions, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to the company’s overall financial health and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
Prepare and maintain financial reports and budgets
Track and report on company expenses, revenue, and other financial data
Process payroll entries and related journal entries (if applicable)
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
Utilize QuickBooks for daily accounting functions and financial tracking
Assist in preparing documentation for audits and tax filings
Recommend and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting standards
Experience with budgeting and forecasting
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
