This non-profit is seeking an Accounting Specialist to perform the maintenance of various accounting ledgers reflecting a variety of funds, the maintenance of controls and balances on a variety of accounting activities; and the preparation of fiscal statements and reports from various sources. Auditing functions include analysis of accounts, transactions, contracts; and testing of transactions for compliance with established laws, rules, and regulations.
Salary: $45,000. Excellent health insurance plan that includes dental and vision.
Hours: Monday Friday, 8am 5pm.
What your future day will look like:
Preparing monthly/quarterly cost reimbursement reporting worksheets and submitting reports according to the due dates set by the funding sources
Processing Payroll and benefits
Works with the Program Directors to manage the budgets to offset any projected budget shortfalls
Enter monthly accounts receivable invoices in accounting software (MIP) for revenue earned in a timely manner
To be a champion in this role, you will need:
Knowledge of non-profit financial reporting and analysis and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Master s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, 1 year experience in non-profit accounting; Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or 3 years of experience in non-profit accounting
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and accounting database software, preferably MIP
Clean criminal background and drug screen
