Position Summary:
As Controller, you will be responsible for the full scope of financial and HR operations while supervising key customer service functions. This is a hands-on position requiring strong analytical skills, the ability to think through complex issues, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments and is willing to learn order entry and customer service processes to lead those teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage all daily, monthly, and year-end accounting functions
Perform daily banking reports and reconcile bank accounts
Maintain general ledger and oversee accounts payable and receivables
Review AR aging reports, manage credit holds, and contact delinquent customers
Approve and distribute daily invoices
Provide timely daily reporting to management
Process weekly payroll through a third-party payroll provider
Calculate and submit monthly multi-state sales and use tax filings
Perform month-end close and analyze financial statements for accuracy
File annual licenses, property renditions, and certifications
Supervise and assist with customer service and order entry as needed
Lead all human resources functions including onboarding, compliance, and employee relations
Ensure software proficiency and identify opportunities to improve operational systems

Qualifications:
Minimum 5–6 years of experience in a senior accounting role
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in human resources
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with multi-state sales and use tax
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Willingness to learn customer service/order entry processes to effectively supervise those teams
