Role Description
We are currently seeking hard-working and experienced Cafeteria Cooks for a school-based setting. In this first-shift position, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, accurately portioning food, and performing other kitchen duties as assigned. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in supporting the health and wellness of students and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a kitchen as a cook is required

• Emphasis on nutrition in prior experience preferred

• Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Dependable and punctual with a positive attitude

Role Description
The Kitchen Staff role supports food service operations by assisting with food preparation, tray line and retail service, dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, trash removal, and delivery of food carts to patient floors. This position primarily works weekday shifts from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM and every other weekend, with weekend shifts rotating between 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 10:30 AM–7:00 PM. Flexibility with scheduling is welcomed, and adherence to food safety standards is required at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred

• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds

• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation practices

• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check

The School Cafeteria Worker will also perform cleaning and maintenance duties as necessary to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a school cafeteria or similar food service environment is preferred but not required

• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must agree to be fingerprinted
