If you meet qualifications and have experience as a Production Superintendent this could be the job for you! This person would report to the General Manager of the company. Working hours would be first shift 7am- 3:30 pm Mon-Fri. Position responsibilities over 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd shift. Direct reports 3+ salary and 40+ hourly employees.The production superintendent is a key member of management and provides leadership in safety, production, materials, equipment and projects in the assembly area to ensure efficiency is maintained and production remains on schedule in the Assembly Department.

Salary- $70- 90K DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Will support and strive towards safety in all facets of the manufacturing facility.

  • Resolve safety problems that arise and complete required paperwork.

  • Ensure shop equipment is tracked, maintained and available as required.

  • Supervision and direction of various employees including supervisors, assemblers, welders, fitters, shippers, machine operators and general laborers.

  • Prioritize projects and ensure they remain on schedule.

  • Conduct recurrent meetings with supervisors to ensure work is properly assigned and deadlines are met.

  • Ensure well-trained and versatile workforce by promoting cross training.

  • Direct the area supervisors departmental objectives, including high standards in Quality, Safety, and Productivity.

  • Actively participate in scheduling meetings with operations partners to prioritize work orders, optimum downtime windows, and necessary lead times.

  • Effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, and management.Assist with recruitment and hiring of plant personnel.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA from accredited college in engineering, industrial engineering technology or related degree is required. MBA is highly desirable.

  • 10 years demonstrated manufacturing supervisory experience in related industry.

  • Dynamic and engaging leadership skills.

  • Possesses high level of mechanical and ironwork aptitude.

  • Has familiarity with ISO 9000 standards.

  • Has experience with KPI tracking.

  • Experience in project management, highly desirable.

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement, highly desirable.

  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Must be 18 years of age and able to pass a drugscreen
