Operations Support Specialist is needed for one of the world's leading Environmental Solutions access company. They focus on protecting the environment, clearing, civil, and site restoration. They help save customers time and money through quality products, accurate and best fits for any ground condition and access needs, freight advantages, and project management to oversee implementation and execution of project on time and within budget. The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Operations division with scheduling, cost tracking and analysis, reporting, research, and all other operations activities for multiple projects. Quality, safety, and efficiency of work performed, along with providing superior customer experience, are paramount. This position requires leadership and attention to detail.

Salary: $40,000.00

Responsibilities:

In addition to working closely with Estimating, Finance, Operations, Safety, and Field Personnel, the Operations Support Specialist s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with the collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting of operations costs, production quantities, and earned revenue

  • Assist the Project Manager with the development of project schedules and budgets

  • Ensure production quantities are reconciled with customers reporting needs and within internal systems

  • Perform cost analysis, project scheduling, and financial tracking as directed by Project Manager

  • Become familiar with scope of work and terms and conditions of the associated contracts

  • Ensure projects are properly executed, as budgeted, and billed in a timely manner within scope of the contract

  • Assist in identifying, analyzing, and procurement of materials for projects

  • Assist project manager in the analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly reports

  • Drive operational efficiency with operations personnel through the distribution and interpretation of production reports, and help assess and implement opportunities for improvement

  • Assist in the implementation and training for new systems and processes

  • Provide leadership by demonstrating focus on projects by supporting operations, estimating, finance, and business related items

  • Communicate project status to management, providing forecasts of revenue, costs, schedule, billing, and other metric / dashboard items

  • Help coordinate in-progress schedule and scope of work adjustments with subcontractors

  • Attend meetings and conference calls with the customer or company staff to support the efforts of operations and resource management

  • Analyzes project finances to reconcile variances in project budgets and vendor purchase orders

  • Ensure Purchase Orders are assigned in an effort to control the costs of the job and maintain profitability

  • Assist in new hire onboarding process

  • Assist with record keeping, including registering and licensing vehicles and keeping inspections up to date

Requirements:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of Project Management principles, including scheduling, cost and revenue tracking and forecasting, change order management, and back office support functions

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Project is required

  • Knowledge of Lean construction methodologies and principles is critical

  • Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and safety hazards of construction projects

  • Must be very well organized, methodical, and have the ability to work independently

  • Ability to prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Project

  • Must have excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills
