RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE position involves the observation of civil and environmental services including transportation systems, roadways, highways, traffic control systems, water supply, distribution, and transmission, waste water collection and treatment, landfills, site grading, parking facilities, storm water runoff and drainage facilities, storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP s), storm water pollution prevention plan, and recreational/sporting facilities. Candidate for this position will be responsible for observing and documenting construction activities under the supervision of the Project Engineer/Manager and assist as needed to ensure that the project is built in substantial accordance with project plans and specifications under which the contract was awarded. Performing operational and administrative data collection/analysis will also be part of the duties. Representative will be expected to assist with shop drawing reviews and verifying conformance in the field, observing and assessing construction activities, and maintaining appropriate reports/records. Other responsibilities include reviewing payment requests and performing/observing acceptance inspections and observing testing, documenting information to prepare record drawings, and assisting with contract close-out documentation.

SALARY: $39,500- $45,000 (Depending on experience)

Guaranteed 40hrs/week with some overnight travel

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have valid driver's license

Must have high school diploma or GED

Post Secondary Certificate in Engineering related Technologies, Construction Trades, Mechanics and Repairers, Precision Production Trades, etc., Bachelor's Degree or College Courses preferred

3 - 5 years of applicable experience in public or private construction observation and/or management

Knowledge of materials, methods, tools, and equipment involved in the construction or repair of systems

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering, science, and technology

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plan, blueprints, drawings, and models

Keen understanding of the English language, including rules of composition and grammar

Working knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their application
